I've always been more of a fan of original Cyberpunk (2013 vs. 2020), mostly because of Friday Night Firefight - some of the deadliest combat rules I've ever had the pleasure of implementing. Of course, 2020 has its own charm. Reading your post immediately pulled me back to my head-to-head games in the mid-90's, featuring my friend's rockerboy character ("Max Carnage"). Damn, those were some fun gaming sessions...Christopher Bhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17368794259249607299noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3782603304631923599.post-56144855219363553642009-10-03T20:17:35.680-04:002009-10-03T20:17:35.680-04:00My group for this was one CP vet (he's GMed a ...My group for this was one CP vet (he's GMed a few running games), one Shadowrun vet, and two guys who've played about ten sessions of AD&D between the two of them, but who are experienced PC gamers (Deus Ex, Fallout, etc.) and who picked it right up. And I even have a PC netrunner! (Even better, he's actually an IT guy so he'll be able to do cool shit with it.)

Putting together a quick Boston/Metro 2025 rundown for next week - stealing from the Night City book like crazy.DestroyYouAlothttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11713840319693422886noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3782603304631923599.post-47269352666183168612009-10-03T19:16:40.587-04:002009-10-03T19:16:40.587-04:00Awesome. The longest running game I've ever played in was a CP2020 campaign. It started out with 4 players but after a year or so of weekly gaming it was whittled down to just me and the Ref. About 2 full years of just us two playing into the wee hours. Thanks for posting this. I've always wanted to make a cyberpunk game work, but have never quite got it to click. This rundown just reminds me of how great it could be!thekelvingreenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01928260185408072124noreply@blogger.com
